Christmas in Mojacar
This year we will be staying in the popular Hotel Puntazo II.
Just along the seafront this family run hotel boasts a pool area, sun terrace, bar / lounge area and evening entertainment programme. Our price includes a special Christmas gala meal and on a full board basis we also include wine & water at mealtimes.
Staying in the popular tourist resort of Mojacar on the Costa Almería, Mojacar has 2 parts - the modern beach resort and the pueblo (the original village perched up on the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera). Public transport from outside the hotel makes it an easy coast to explore.
Whilst walking around the streets of the town, the promenade, known as El Malecon, will attract particular attention as it has a beautiful balcony from where there is magnificent view of Garrucha beach. This is where the Jesus de Nazareno Castle is located, also known as the San Ramon Castle. Built in the 18th Century, this is a military fortress that was put up to provide defense to the continuous pirate attacks. Still standing are two turrets and the parade ground. Thanks to this, Garrucha forms part of the Route of castles through Andalucian.
Our itinerary for this trip is as follows.
23 Dec - Travel from local pick up to Mojacar. Lunch on day of arrival.
24 Dec - Excursion to Aguilas
25 Dec - Gala Christmas Lunch ( inc in price )
26 Dec - Afternoon visit to Almeria city for Christmas lights, sightseeing and shopping
27 Dec - Free Day
28 Dec - Breakfast on day of departure then leaving approx mid morning

Travel to Hotel Puntazo II. We arrive in time for lunch at the hotel .

Excursion to Aguilas to enjoy this coastal town.
B, L, EDay 3 - 25th Dec
Christmas Day. This is a free day for you to enjoy your Christmas in Mojacar. There will be a special Gala Christmas Lunch provided at the hotel.

Excursion to Almeria to explore the city and all its sights, Christmas themed activities and more.
B, L, EDay 5 - 27th Dec
Free day to explore Mojacar. You could take a local bus up to the village and enjoy the traditional village atmosphere, shops, sights and more. This is a typical example of a traditional Andalucian village.

Return travel. After breakfast we will set off mid morning for our return.
